Thank you for making the 2014 Barwick Beer Festival a huge success… we’ll see you again next year!

17th October 2015

The 2014 Barwick Beer Festival was another huge success, and we’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of our sponsors, volunteer staff, and customers. We’re currently putting our feet up having a well earned rest, but we’ll be back again next year (make sure you put the date in your diary!). In the mean time we’ve kept the details of our 2014 event on-line to give you a flavour of what’s in store. If you enjoyed this year’s event, why not become a sponsor? We’re already offering packages from just £35… if you’re interested, please get in touch!

Back for its sixth year…

Following its tremendous success over the last 5 years, the Barwick Beer Festival makes a welcome return in 2014. Having started in 2008 with just six cask ales, we’ve been growing every year, and will this year be bringing you an impressive 18 firkins. That’s 1,296 pints we need you to help us drink (and that’s before you even get started on our ever growing range of bottled beers, ciders and wines!). Tickets cost £5 (on the door) and include admission, a free first drink, and of course our highly collectable commemorative festival pint glass!

18 real cask ales… plus a whole lot more!

The county of Yorkshire has a great reputation for beer making around the world, and with so many fantastic beers on our doorstep, there’s really no need for us to travel further afield for our beers! All of the cask ales featured at our festival are sourced from micro breweries within Yorkshire, and if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, we’ve also got a range of posh fancy ‘foreign’ stuff  in bottles (including such exotic locations as Belgium – who to be fair make a pretty decent brew!).

It’s a family affair…

Whether you’re from Barwick itself,  a local village, or further afield… you will be given a warm welcome by our team of volunteers. We cater for all age groups (over 18 obviously). Maybe you are a lifetime CAMRA member and a real ale connoisseur? or perhaps you’ve never tried real ale before and would like to try some for the first time? (where have you been?)… wherever you are on your tasting journey, we’re confident we have something for everyone, ‘beginners’ and ‘experts’ alike!
